Edwin Metternich has lived a life of adventure. First starting out as a painter, Edwin then took to sailing tall ships across the Pacific, to specialist decorating in some of the finest houses around the world, to working with Paralympic skiers in the Alps.
This past year, Edwin embarked on his greatest adventure yet, this time leaving London to launch the colour department for Framestore’s newest office in Chicago.
Edwin has been with the Framestore family for over 10 years, since 2007, and found himself drawn to the world of colour where he could combine his love of the arts with technical precision, and his joy for working with clients.
Edwin has gone on to grade with some of the most recognizable brands in the industry, including Gucci, Audi, L’Oreal, Burberry, Jeep, Capital One, Barclays and Google. Edwin’s time in the colour suite at Framestore has also led him to work on notable projects including Jangbar, the latest film of Turner-Nominated artist Zarina Bhimji, the BAFTA award-winning British Short Film Operator, directed by Caroline Bartlett and videos for some of music’s biggest stars,
